Dr. Chenita Sanks is a native of Columbus, Georgia. She received her B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State University in 2002, her Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Troy State University in 2003, her Ed.S. in Elementary Education from Troy University in 2005, her add-on in Educational Leadership from Troy University in 2006, and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Mercer University in 2009. She also earned an M.Div. in Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2017.
She currently works for Muscogee County School District as a full-time certified teacher. She has 20 years of experience in this capacity. She also serves as Director of Christian Education at The House of God and is the Vice President and a tutor for Bright Destiny Learning Center. Additionally, she served as an adjunct professor at Columbus State University.
She is the wife of Pastor Jamie Sanks, who she married in February 2000, and is a proud stepmother of four fine stepsons: Donquize, Cordarrell, Jammie, Jr., and Joshua.
At the age of fourteen, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and has been serving Him for 30 years. Her passion is educating the next generation to be Christ-ready, college-ready and career-ready, as well as training disciples for Christ from the little ones to the big ones.
