Dr. Jamie Sanks was born in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama. He moved to Columbus, Georgia at the age of five, where he still resides.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked as a welder at Worthington Cylinders until 1995. He met the Lord Jesus Christ who radically changed his life in 1996. God called him to the ministry and he was ordained in 2005.
He attended Columbus State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (in 2000) with majors in both management and marketing. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Management from Troy University in 2002.
Dr. Sanks also earned the following degrees from Beacon University: A Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership in 2004, a Master of Divinity in Organizational Leadership in 2005, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2007. He went on to earn the following degrees from Liberty University: a Master of Divinity in Theology with Distinction in 2015, a Master of Education: Teaching and Learning-History in 2019 and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling in 2021. Currently, Dr. Sanks is working on his Ph.D. in Bible Exposition at Liberty University.
Dr. Sanks served Beacon University as Dean of Admission and Recruitment from June of 2004 until May 2006. He started both departments from scratch, where he achieved the highest enrollment in the history of the university. He also served Beacon as a professor of biblical studies for approximately two years. He was also an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix for several years, and he served for about twelve years as a substitute teacher for Muscogee County School District.
Currently, Dr. Sanks serves as the Lead Pastor for The House of God (the church he planted from scratch in his living room) in Midland, GA. He has been pastoring this church plant for fifteen years. He is also the President and Chairman of the Board of Advisors for Bright Destiny Learning Center, the President and a trustee of Bright Destiny, Inc., and he currently serves as an adjunct professor for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS).
He and his lovely wife, Chenita, have been happily married for twenty-two years, and they have four fine sons: Donquize, Cordarrell, Jammie Jr., and Joshua. His passions are reading and studying the Bible, teaching the Bible, and writing for the Lord.
